Protean Career
The protean career is a process which the person, not the organization, is managing. It consist of all of the person’s varied experiences in education, training, work in several organizations changes in occupational field, etc. The protean person’s own personal career choices and search for self-fulfillment are the unifying or integrative elements in his or her life. The criterion of success is internal (psychological success), not external.
Here are some characteristics of the protean career, namely:
- The career is managed by the person, not the organization.
- The career is a lifelong series of experiences, skills, learning, transitions, and identity changes (“Career age” counts, not chronological age).

What is Perception?
Perception is a process which is preceded by a process of sensing, which is a process of stimulus received by the individual through the senses or also called sensory processes. But the process does not just stop, but the stimulus is continued and the next process is the process of perception. Therefore, the process of perception can’t be separated from the process of sensing, and sensing procedure is a precursor process of perception.
